Can't Buy Me Love

It's Tag Crane's job to be the life of the party. Traveling from one exotic locale to another is just part of running the luxurious Crane Hotel empire. But even paradise isn't perfect. Devising a new business strategy is keeping Tag up at night-and so is the Great Dane barking at all hours in the apartment below his. To muzzle the problem, Tag charges downstairs... right into the most beautiful, blond distraction he's ever seen.

Dog-sitting by day, bartending by night. It's not exactly the life Rachel Foster dreamed of. But when Tag Crane rushes in, all mountain-man shoulders and obscenely sexy smile, needing her help for the Crane Hotels, it's a fantasy come true. What's the harm in a fun no-strings fling? Only a fool would give her heart to a billionaire player like Tag-until suddenly the one man who can't be caught is the one flirting with forever...

I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Rachel’s starting over. After breaking up with her boyfriend who stole her promotion at work, she’s trying to figure out where her next chapter in life begins. So, for now, she’s bar tending with her roommate and while she’s working there she mets this regular, who she’s become close to. So close that she’s puppy sitting for him while he’s away on business. For a whole month.

A whole month that she will be living in a huge, luxurious apartments in one of the best buildings in the city. A building that belongs to none other than Tag Crane, who also lives there. On the floor above the one Rachel’s housing sitting. If you’ve read the first book (which I highly recommend that you do!) than you’ll remember Tag as one of the Crane brothers, the fun playboy player who swears he’s not one for settling down. But even the highest players have to fall. And boy, does he fall hard for Rachel.

There’s some miscommunications at first on both party ends and it was hilarious when Rachel realized how Tag must have taken her words when they first met, given the circumstances, and how she showed up at his penthouse trying to play a prank on him. A prank that backfired. Or did it? Now, Rachel and Tag are spending more time together, getting to know each other, and Tag, despite his commitment issues, can’t keep away from Rachel. Doesn’t want to. He wants Rachel and him to work, but at a pace that’s comfortable for him. But, sometimes, you have to go out of your comfort zone for love.

I really, really liked this book. It was fun and flirty and Tag was amazing. I had always loved in book one so I was so glad that his book was as fun and a story that was perfect for him. I loved reading as Rachel and Tag fell for one another. It was so sweet and cute, I couldn’t stop smiling whenever they were both on the page together. There was even this one scene that I was all but shouting, cheering Tag on.

So, go forth and pick up this book today because it’s finally out and go enjoy some sweet, sexy loving, an adorable Great Dane that doesn’t realize he’s a Great Dane, and see this billionaire player give up the game.

Yes! This was such a fun book and Tag and Rachel were wonderful characters. I loved seeing Rachel come into her feelings for Tag and I loved how patient and protective Tag was for Rachel. Lemmon did a great job of bringing these two together and including the other characters (like Tag’s family and Rachel’s roommate and friend) as well. Really enjoyed this one! Great review!

I found your blog thanks to Nick so I’m a new follower!

AHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FOLLOWING!!!! And YAY for enjoying this book. It was such a fun read! Tag’s just such a fun character.

  2. No romance is complete without an adorable pet or animal of some kind, in my opinion! Great Danes are sooo freaking adorable, and it sounds like Tag and Rachel are equally cute. Some romances can be a little too over the top and angsty for me, but this sounds absolutely delightful.

I’m so glad I saw your blog listed in Nick’s post because I’m loving it!!!! 😀
