From New York Times bestselling author, J. Daniels, comes a sexy new STANDALONE novel.

Riley Tennyson has made a huge mistake.

At least, that’s what she keeps telling herself.

Showing up to her brother’s wedding pissed off and newly single, Riley seeks comfort in solitude and an open bar, until the gorgeous and irresistibly charming CJ Tully makes her a better offer—a wild night with the master of smooth-talking where nothing is off limits.

Riley does what any single woman would do, and a connection is made. One neither one of them can ignore. But when she comes home to the boyfriend she no longer thought she had, Riley buries her secret and begs CJ to do the same.

Forget about each other. It was a mistake. That’s all it was… right?

Desires are hidden. Distance is kept. Until one night CJ makes the ultimate sacrifice, and Riley can no longer avoid the man she can’t stop thinking about.

Not with him sleeping down the hall…

I received this book for free from Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

J. Daniels is back with her Alabama Summer series and it’s hotter than ever. And not just cause we’re in the south, ya’ll. C.J. and Riley really know how to blend the down and dirty with the sultry and sweet. My heart will forever belong to Reed (When I Fall) but C.J. is a very, very close second. Like right under my BB (now there’s a thought…)

Anyway, Riley and C.J. meet the night before Beth and Reed’s wedding and after the day Riley had (fighting with a POS guy is never fun) she turns to her good friend, Tequila, and C.J. joins her. Drinking is better in numbers, right? And it doesn’t hurt when your drinking buddy is a hotter than sin cop.

One thing leads to another and the end up doing a little romp in the sheets that was *insert fire emojis* but no one can know. Riley is terrified of someone seeing her and telling Reed because C.J. and him are friends and she doesn’t want t that to mess with their relationship. Especially since Reed hates Riley’s ex.

C.J. knows that what he had with Riley was special, was different. He wants to explore it, but when Riley gets home from the wedding her and her ex work things out. For a short period. Until she finds out something about him that makes him act off the wall and C.J. gets hurt in the process. Like seriously hurt.

Riley feels responsible, even though it wasn’t her fault, something C.J. keeps telling her and when he finds out that she lives with her ex and is basically homeless now, he proposes that Riley comes to stay with him in his guest room. She’s in school to be a nurse and he’s in need of one soooo…perfect, right?

You can only be in close quarters with someone as sweet and attractive and attentive as C.J. before giving in. And oh when they do, there is fireworks!

I loved this book, ya’ll. If you’ve been waiting for this book like a lot of us, let me tell you, the wait is so worth it! J. Daniels stepped up her game with C.J. and Riley. It was a read of fun, laughs, and steamy times. It wouldn’t be a J. Daniels book without those things, right? What I love about this series, aside from the steamy factor, of course, is the entire gang and how they’re this big family. I loved all the scenes are past favorite couples were in. Especially with Reed because MY MAN!!!

What I Need is like coming home!
