I'd dated his brother.
He didn’t remember and I wish I could forget.
I may have sworn off the Wright family a long time ago. But when I returned home, Jensen Wright crashed into my life with the confidence of a billionaire CEO and the sex appeal of a god. Even I couldn’t resist our charged chemistry, or the way he fit into my life like a missing puzzle piece.
Too bad he’d forgotten the one thing that could destroy us.
Because Jensen Wright doesn’t share. Not with anyone. And if his brother finds out, this could all go down in flames.
When it all was said and done, was he the Wright brother?
I received this book for free from Publicist in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I’ve been a fan of K.A. Linde for over a year, since I first discovered her books, and she really hasn’t let me down since. In fact, this book, The Wright Brother might be one of my favorites by her. It was a lot of fun, the heroine had a relatable sense of humor, and Jensen was a nice combination of sexy and sweet. But mostly sexy because MYWORD! This man.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. The Wright Brother starts out with Emery catching her boyfriend of three years with another girl. In his office. Him cheating was the push that she needed to make the hardest choice of her life. Leaving grad school. Something she wasn’t passionate about anymore. So, she moves back home. To the town where she hasn’t lived in over a decade.
Because she doesn’t want to go back to the memories of her ex-boyfriend and his family. A family she has sworn off for good. Or she had until her best friend, who works for the fam, drags her to the youngest Wright sibling’s wedding. She can’t escape them there. And while she makes conversation with her ex, it’s his older brother that catches Emery’s eye. Jensen is sex in a suit and he hasn’t been able to take his eyes off Emery the entire night. And while they share a passionate kiss, Emery runs away before anything else can happen.
It’s not until the next day that Jensen realizes who she is. And after thinking it over for two point five seconds, he doesn’t care who she used to date. He wants her in his life, for however brief that may be. But Jensen has things going on his life that might not make Emery want to stick around. So, when she finds out it will really test their connection, their feelings, and their future.
K.A. Linde knows how to make me fall for male leads and how to write a strong best friend bond. I loved the dynamics between Emery and Jensen, she gave him shit and didn’t put up with his moody attitude at times (yaaas, girl yas!) and how strong of a friendship she had with Heidi (who’s getting the next book and I am so excited! Girl is a hoot).
So if you’re looking for a fast, fun, and a little heavy read, than this one is for you!
